About Us

The Year of the Salish Sea initiative was started by the Fall 2021 Semester by the Salish Sea cohort. Semester by the Salish Sea was a 13-week-long intensive program hosted by Simon Fraser University’s Semester in Dialogue at Harbour Centre on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ lands.

It was guided by three instructors and made up of a group of twelve students from a range of academic disciplines. Learn more about Semester in Dialogue here.
